Just purchased yesterday, initially had a problem running the app for the first time. Sent an email to the company and within a matter of minutes received a reply back with the solution and detailed explaintion why. The problem was related to an iCloud connection issue which was easily solved temporarily and hopefully will be resolved by Apple shortly. The app is very user friendly while keeping daily entries easily organized rather than just creating a folder to store videos. I especially like the password protection feature and look forward to video journaling with this app.

I was searching for an app that I could just writemy thoughts in, nothing too fancy. After looking at several ones I purchased this one and completely regret it! IT WOULD NOT EVEN OPEN! I hope it was a minor bug fix that can be fixed shortly because I am extremely mad that I wasted my money on something that does not even work.

Upgraded my system from snow leapord to mountain lion today and lost all of my journal entires. Thats a bummer… So much for memories, the worst journaling software Ive ever used. HIGHLY DISSATISFIED (AGAIN).

I wanted to thank the Memories developers for creating such an easy to use app. The features and functionality work well for creating v-logs. Their teams customer service is second to none. In an age of form letters and canned responses, their team answered my questions personally with a friendly tone and within 24 hours. After trying two other v-log apps, this was the only one that started, worked and was basically a turn key operation. I didnt have to tinker with the settings and try to recognize my webcam, it JUST WORKED. After almost 10 years using any Apple products and countless of apps later, this is maybe the 2nd review I have written, its that good. Thank you Juicey Cocktail!

This app does just what I need, and a little bit more. I could "put together" an application within Word, and have it do practically everything, but I just needed a simple app of which this exceeds my needs. Thank you.

Had some issues for a minute, but after a quick email to their support team, it was fixed within 15 minutes. Impressive support team. Impressive app.

Just get the "Day One" Journal app and be done with this.

Not much to this app! I guess you can say I am disappointed. The reviews were good but not the app.Maybe if it was cheaper.

I have been journalling since I was in grade school. I used to write when stressed, frustrated, or confused about my life. As technology got better I wanted to find a way to write my thoughts and take them with me where ever I go. This has been a great way to do that. I have only been using this application for about a week, but I have been adding in journals that I have hand written over the past couple of days. The user interface is really nice, very simple. The only thing that I do not like is that the text allignment tools are not available on the toolbar. You have to use shortcuts (which are different then the typical shortcuts) to center, bold, and align your text. I also do not like that I cannot change the background of my journal, or have multiple journals (seems like a simple thing to add). However the video and picture adding is really nice (again, very simple). And it allow you to search your entries. Overall pretty satisfied, however there could be improvements made.

This was the third journal app I purchased today and the third one that failed to do what I wanted it to do. Despite what it says about it now being "faster" it is extremely slow for me. Every tiny little thing I try to do I just end up watching the rainbow circle spin and spin forever. I tried to add an entry and after a minute of waiting I had to force the app to close. Every entry I create is assigned a location in Lexington, KY even though that is NOT where I am. I cannot find any way at all to correct or manually enter the location. The weather feature does not work either, as they state in their description, so I dont know why we cant simply enter it manually like we do with the smiley faces. The Help files seem to be non existent and the support files online contain no tutorials on how to do anything. Of the three apps I purchased today, this one seemed to be the closest to doing what I wanted, but it is so excruciatingly slow and glitchy Ive spent much more time waiting for commands to be carried out than I have actually getting stuff done in this app.

Just downloaded. It will not open.

At first I loved it but now every time I record an entry, it never saves and crashes. It’s useless to me now, please fix or refund me my money.

I got the entry list on the side of the window exactly once. After hiding it with the toolbar button, no attempts at using the menu, keyboard shortcut, or toolbar icon will bring it back. A test entry I had written came up as a several hundred page garbled mess after quitting and reopening.

You will not be sorry you purchased this product. It does everything it says it will do and everything I want it to do and more. I am a prolific thinker and not so good with speaking. Memories is my place to work out the things that go through my mind. My friends have told me I should write books, I don’t know about that, but I sure enjoy writing in this program. If my mind isn’t working well one day, I video what I want to say and can go back and write it later or if it is a story I am writing I can add a picture to enhance the story. I LOVE it. I had one problem I spend days on trying to fix before I gave up and asked Memories what was happening. They got back to me right away and in moments the problem was resolved. All I had needed to do was drag the left margin toward the center of the window to reveal my previous days of work. Thank you Memories! You’ve made my “memories” a easily kept treasure! I purchased an earlier version of this product and used it to begin journalling on the computer as opposed to the written word. I scanned and downloaded a few keepsake documents and was pleased that I now had an electronic backup / version. When the program updated to the current version, I lost all of my old entries, including those precious keepsake documents. I tried recovering from Time Machine and couldn’t. I contacted Support and was given very confusing instructions on what to copy, where to look in the file structure of my computer for the Memories database (which wasn’t in either location I was told it would be). And then a lot of “try this” … all to no avail so I removed the app and didn’t do anything for a while. So yesterday, I went into Time Machine, found Memories in the backup and copied it to a CD. I then reinstalled the app on my computer. When I ran the program, after a few moments EVERYTHING was restored. That was a complete and very pleasant surprise. I have since copied those keepsake documents into another file and archived them. Bottom line … very hesitant to endorse this app. Not sure I will continue to use it. If you are going to use this product, backup your stuff frequently to a file in another application, particularly if the stuff is very important or sentimental to you.

It does nothing that it says. If it syncs and has password protection, I can’t find it. Save your money. I wish I did. argh!

This is a great app that allows a busy mom to “scrapbook” daily. I just love that I can take pictures and include them in my entries. The enjoy making movies and watching themselves over and over giggling harder every time. It’s a great keepsake and so easy to use. I need help with an issue I was having and they quickly came to my aid helped me out. Great product, easy to use.

There are too many problems with that are some how not being solved. I spent literally 6 months without the journal because it saved none of them. It would start to save and have the rainbow circle spinning around, then freeze and need to be shut down. Now with the newest update it cannot even load regularly. Literally I am done with this app. It’s way too expensive for the problems that I keep having to face. Not including the fact I had uninstalled and then reinstalled the app before, only to face the same problems. Just don’t waste your money. I hope they fix these problems, because with these problems fixed this really could have been the most perfect journal app. Such a pity.
